Sydneysiders are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled for a new, immersive two-day festival of food, fun and games which is about to pop-up in the CBD this month! Taking place on 29 and 30 June, between 8am-6pm, WYNSIDEOUT will feature a colourful playground of pop-up dining, team challenges and outdoor collaboration spaces, set against the backdrop of Sydney’s much loved Wynyard Park. Check out the program here.

As part of the NSW Government’s The Festival of Place, WYNSIDEOUT will consist of four zones including the Play Zone, Relax Zone, Collaboration Zone and Eat Zone, inviting visitors and CBD commuters to come down and experience Wynyard Park in a whole new way.

Play Zone

Located at the Northern end of Wynyard Park, the Play Zone will bring the fun to WYNSIDEOUT and feature a colourful range of traditional sports and games including archery, golf simulators, table tennis, corn hole, ring toss and connect four. Grab your colleagues or your most competitive pals and challenge them to a game or two.

To keep things interesting (and a little competitive), WYNSIDEOUT is challenging you to grab your paddle and face off against Commonwealth Games representative and Australian Champion athlete, Kane Townsend.

Relax Zone

Needing to unwind after hitting the games? Head to the relax zone in Wynyard Park and sit back and take in your surroundings. This chilled-out, open area will be decked out with comfy hammocks, and heating in a lush garden setting.

The Relax Zone will also feature a rejuvenating massage zone. Perfect after you’ve been sitting at your desk all day, enjoy a 10 minute neck and shoulder massage, and feel invigorated.

After relaxing your body, it’s time to fuel your mind at WYNSIDEOUT’s Cuppa Cafe. Unlike your ordinary cafe, Cuppa invites you to attend a series of curated conversations run throughout the day by the Cuppa.TV team.

This includes two ‘Morning Cuppa’ sessions, ‘Lunch & Learn’ and the ‘3pm Pick Me Up’. The sessions will be led by some familiar faces, including original Wiggle Greg Page, seven-time world surfing champion Layne Beachley, London Bombing Survivor Gill Hicks, Olympic Gold Medallist Kerri Pottharst, motivational speaker and mindfulness and meditation coach Chelsea Pottenger, Indigenous Leader and Author Paul Callaghan, sustainability expert & host Jo Taranto and much-loved veterinarian Dr Katrina Warren.

All sessions require registration and spots are limited so get in quick!

Collaboration Zone

Inspire some blue-sky thinking in the Collaboration Zone. Perfect for those who are seeking some remote office inspiration, WYNSIDEOUT will play host to bookable meeting spaces in an outdoor oasis. With limited space, the free meeting spaces are available to book via the WYNSIDEOUT website.

Eat Zone

After fuelling your mind and entertaining your inner child, head to the central hub of Wynyard Park and enter the Eat Zone. Fill your belly with a specially curated food offering from some of your favourite locals, including bar bites from Stitch Bar, Contemporary Oaxacan food from Santa Caterina, fried chicken from none other than Butter, delicious donuts from Donut Papi and Japanese Cheesecakes from 15cm of Happiness.

This space will also feature live music from the likes of Matt Walker, DJ Jack Shit and DJ Klevakutz

Of the initiative, Karl Schlothauer, owner of Stitch Bar said “We’re thrilled to be a part of this great initiative in the heart of the city that seeks to enliven Wynyard Park with a diverse program of activity, inspiring Sydneysiders to rediscover the CBD.”
