NRL 2021 finals LIVE updates: Roosters take on Titans; Panthers face Rabbitohs

In case you missed it…good news to come out of the Storm camp this morning

Before we get stuck into the thick of tonight’s games, I thought I would first mention some good news to come out of last night’s game (well, for Storm fans that is).

Storm hooker Brandon Smith was cleared of serious injury last night after fears he may have fractured his cheekbone.

During his post-match press conference, coach Craig Bellamy revealed club doctors feared he had a serious facial injury and was being sent off for X-Rays.

But this morning, Smith took to social media to share the good news that he had been cleared of anything major.

“Great result last night, even greater result from the doctor that there was no facial fractures,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Bring on the Pre Lim.”

Hello and welcome to Saturday night finals footy

Hi everybody, Sarah Keoghan here on our live blog to take you through all of tonight’s action in Townsville.

We start off with the do-or-die match between the Roosters at Titans at 5.40pm AEST before the Panthers take on the Rabbitohs at 7.50pm AEST.

Our first match of the night is expected to be a thriller with the Roosters bolstered by the return of Victor Radley and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, while the Titans get Kevin Proctor back from a shoulder injury.

Radley was on the sidelines for the last three games due to suspension for a dangerous tackle with Waerea-Hargreaves coming back from a knee injury.

Let’s get things underway.
